Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from an ethnically Jewish background. The actress is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder relocated with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family was in a house that didn't have electric power. Ryder was a consummate reader and spent her time reading books as there was no TV. Ryder took acting classes at the age of Ryder was 12, and was enrolled in classes at the American Conservatory Theatre. In the year she turned fifteen, she landed her first part on screen, in Lucas. Ryder endured bullying while in high school. She hoped acting might change the situation. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, it didn't stop her from pursuing dreams. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her debut big breakthrough. Ryder kept playing successful roles in various films. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her part on The Age of Innocence (1993).
